What Do I Need?It Depends! Some parents buy a day's supply of nappies first to see how they get on with them, and then buy more when they find they love them! Easy Peasy trial packs are great for this. Others are sure about real nappies and buy either a few different kinds or a whole set right from the start - see our full sets for a great value buy. If the terms used mean nothing to you, please see our glossary The BasicsTo wash on alternate days you will just need twice as many nappies as you would use in a day, with a couple more if you don't tumble dry. For a newborn this would be about 20 nappies, about 12-15 for an older baby. Most nappies need a cover (or wrap). You would only need 3 or 4 of these and they are available with hook and loop or popper fastening. Often hook and loop is best for younger babies and poppers for wriggly or velcro ripping babies! Depending on your preference and the nappy you are using you may need liners (most Easy Peasy Nappies are fleece lined so you do not really need a liner). These are either paper and biodegradable and flushable or fleece. A bucket to store nappies before washing. We also provide a mesh bag to save you handling dirty nappies into the washing machine. ExtrasOnce in the routine of nappies, many people use washable wipes to avoid using chemicals on their baby's skin or washable nursing pads. A waterproof nappy bag makes changes out and about easy. Boosters can give more absorbency as baby gets older, and wool covers offer a fully breathable alternative for night times. Moltex Eco Disposables are often used when on holiday or for the first couple of weeks while you get used to baby.
